Europe- Day 15/Part 1

We got home pretty late (in baby terms...9:30...hehe) last night.
Liam had to skip his bath even thought he really needed one!
We often have "the stinky kid" in the room.
For good reason, however.
Baby Fin has SUPER DRY skin!
A bath every day would obviously make it even worse...
It was so bad this winter, his legs cracked and bled
*insert tear of his mother here*

ANYWAY...
After he ate smashed his breakfast into, on, and around his face,
(and all other available surfaces)
I stuck him in the bath while I got ready for the day.

While innocently drying my hair I looked to the tub to find this face...

ATTENTION!!
DO NOT READ THIS POST ANY FURTHER IF YOU ARE FEELING SQUEAMISH!

As I looked at my precious boy, I noticed some sailboats floating in the water.
Sailboats I didn't put there...
Sailboats we don't even own!

They were BROWN SAILBOATS!
*gasp*
Yes, yes...
Liam had his first bath-time-poo...
Maybe it wasn't a good idea to stick him in warm water right after eating....
Hmmmm...
...I have a new theory brewing....

The face of, "uh, Mama...?"

Side Note:
Yes, I took these photos AFTER cleaning up the mess and the child.
I'm not THAT dedicated to the updating the blog.
I'm also not that twisted, although that may be up for debate.

Was this a milestone for Liam?
Maybe...
...I will probably add it to the baby book.
I guess I am twisted :)

BUT, WAIT!
It was also a rite of passage for this Mama!
When I saw the afore mentioned sailboats,
I didn't actually gasp.
As a matter of fact,
I didn't flinch or even change the tone of my voice.
I didn't cringe...
Nor did I gag!!

In the past 18 months,
I've changed many a diaper blow-outs!
Wiped many boogers with my bare hands!!
(a few of which were then wiped onto MY pants or shirt out of unpreparedness or hands-being-full-ness)
I've been pooped on, peed on, and spit on.
I've wiped bloody mouths acquired from falls,
and only "experienced mothers" know what else...

THIS TIME...
I scooped up poop WITHOUT Batting an eye!
And I am PROUD!
Verdict is in...I am twisted...

Yes, moms, dads, and people of all sorts,
I have crossed the threshold into a new realm of motherhood.
Thank you dearest Liam...
Thank you for making me a hardcore mommy!

"You're welcome, Mama!"

Liam is napping now...
Rose garden when he wakes.
Cheers!
