Boys Will Be Boys

We've been doing some MAJOR yard work during the past couple weeks.
I have had 8 blisters to prove it.
My wimpy side took over after that happened, and I took a few days off.

We've dug out a few several raised beds which were completely overgrown.
Raked, Raked, and Raked some more...
(Did you know that if you leave pine needles to rest,
at some point they cement into the ground suffocating your grass?)

We've planted flowers, bushes, veggies, and herbs...
Moved rocks and gravel.
Dug up dead stuff ( just like to say that, dead stuff),
Pruned bushes and trees.
Cut dead limbs up the wazoo!

We have ONE MORE bush to plant,
have one bed left to finish,
and a few wild flowers to plant...

THEN...
Pure ENJOYMENT watching it all grow :)

Clint laughing at the fact I saved these bushes for him to dig up
because, "they were too hard for me to get."
Yes, he DID get them in one try, but I loosened them a little quite a bit!

Liam helping dig!

He played in the dirt for HOURS.
He ate some minimal amounts of dirt.
(At least I hope it was minimal)
He had some SERIOUS fun!
AND, He took a MUCH NEEDED bath!

"Hi. Mom."

"This was a really fun day."

Just drinking my morning milk while catching up on the week's sporting events.

"The Lakers lost out last night.
Man, was that a pathetic last two games or what?!?!"

I have spent a few many hours sewing toys for this Turkey Bird.
Some things which have taken FOREVER to finish have been total BUSTS.
He'll look at them for a second minute and head off to grab a piece of paper.
I'm not bitter or anything. :)

However, this alphabet magnet set has provided hours and hours of fun!
(patting myself on the back right now.)
His favorite letter is F... seriously!
He carries F all over the place :)
(somehow when I typed that it seemed crude :)

The magnets are sewn in between four layers of fabric,
so we don't need to worry about him swallowing a magnet.
Thereby shifting around his internal organs.
Bonus!

Spaghetti And Other Randomness

We haven't had too much going on lately.
Which means I have a bunch of random things/pictures to post.

Our average days mainly involve eating, destroying the house,
sleeping, destroying the house, playing, destroying the house...
Did I mention destroying the house?!?!
As I'm sitting here posing pictures, for faraway friends and a family,
I'm looking at a house that is in dire need of some professional help!
EEEKK!!!
I have my whole life to clean, so I'm just going to keep truckin' with my posing.
Cheers!

EVERY. SINGLE. MEAL. starts off the same.
I put Liam in his highchair.
Lindi perks up, lays right underneath Liam, and
patiently awaits the inevitable...
Dropped food!
Sometimes she gets a little too close...
Not even realizing the food she is missing out on.
I'm a firm believer in my Lindi-Vac...
She works miracles in my housekeeping.

Spaghetti mmmmmm...

"A little help, Mama?!
My Balloon seems to be stuck in this hole."

"This rock is beckoning me.
I'm salivating just thinking about putting it in my mouth."
(Brock, look at my background!  Be proud. I took your advice on lens choice.)

Learning how to skip rocks with Daddy.
We consider it success if they touch the water.

Flock of Seagulls haircut anyone?!

"If I hide here, and stare at this ball hard enough,
maybe I won't have to go to bed."
Sorry little dude...Heigh ho, heigh ho, it's off to bed you go!"

But first, a bottle with Daddy.
This picture is so sweet.
Clint gets Liam ready for bed, and tucks him in most week nights.
It's kind of their thing.
I love observing it.
Clint is a great an amazing Dad!!

By the way, he turned 30 last week!
We couldn't fit that many candles on the cake, so there's only 24.

We had a surprise birthday party for him with a few friends and family.
I did some A LOT of lying that week.
It's almost scary how good I became at the art of lying.
However, after the party I decided to put my deceitful side to rest.

Me: Liam, what do you think about Daddy turning 30?
Liam: Hmmm...I'll need to ponder what 30 even means...

Strawberries...GOOD...

My sweet Baby Fin.

Off To Glendive

I always knew Glendive, MT was a small town,
but the longer I am away, the more it seems as if it is
IN. THE. MIDDLE. OF. NOWHERE.
We cut our distance in HALF (literally) when moving to Polson,
but it still takes FOREVER to get there.

Okay, now that we have that random fact established...
We had such a fun time visiting Grandma, Papa, aunts, uncles, and even cousins!

If you know my family, at all even a little bit, you know
this picture speaks volumes.
So...my mom claimed that Liam only wanted to drink out of the Vikings Sippy...
She even claimed that he actually CRIED when she tried giving him his Packers Sippy...
I don't know about you, but do you see fear in Liam's eyes?!
I think he's actually afraid to drink out of the green cup when in Glendive.

When I married Clint, I did the UNTHINKABLE...
I crossed enemy lines.
But then Lacey and Cassie followed suit, so all is well.

Adorable little Eden!

Laim: You wanna make some music?
Eden: Naw, look at these shiny spoons!
L: Whoa, yeah, let's play with these instead!

Just Palyin'

It's been a while since I've updated this thing.
I seem to get on a roll, then totally bail.
Such is life.

Anyway, here are a few pictures of everyday life.

It is funny HILARIOUS how much liam likes LOVES his sunglasses!!
(yes, that was meant to be plural)
His face literally lights up every time he gets to wear them.
I'm pretty sure he's going to be some sort of rockstar...

Our first time going down the BIG slide.

We had to wear sunglasses to feel brave.

Liam stole our frisbee at the park.

Still not walking, but we have fun trying (sometimes).
Usually we rebel against all things walking.

The room was quiet...
I became very scared terrified of what I was going to find...
As I entered the room, I found this...
Then I thought to myself, "If you can't beat em', join em."

We then terrorized this poor, innocent Kleenex box for about an hour.

Liam palying peek-a-boo.
He saw, he went, he conquered!

Liam LOVES the bath!
We thought it would be fun to surprise him with a glow-in-the-dark bath.

It seems as if it was a success.
Not sure if was more fun for Liam or Daddy :)
(some parts of this photo have been blurred to protect the innocent)
