Happy April Fool's Day!
Liam and I didn't pull any pranks on anyone, but I'm thinking we may have to have a
Belated-Fools Day when Daddy is least expecting it!
We had a blessed Easter weekend at home.
Clint was gone all of last week, and returned home late Friday night,
so we tried to squeeze in as much family time as possible.
(he'll be leaving again next week...BOO!)
The weather was GORGEOUS, so we spent quite a bit of time outside.
Saturday, we went out for a special family date...
We had breakfast at our favorite bakery where Liam got to choose his OWN doughnut AND have pancakes WITH syrup!
What kind of parents does this kid have?!
All that processed sugar went STRAIT to his nervous system in about 10 minutes!
Afterwards, we took our hyped-up, toddler-monster to the park to let off some steam!
Later that evening, we dyed eggs with Liam for the first time...
He LOVED it!
The pink eggs were his favorite...
FACT: Liam is not COMPLETELY naked in this picture...even if he looks it :)
Helping Daddy peal off stickers to put on his eggs.
It's a little hard to tell in the picture...but there were many a few casualties in the midst of the egg-dying process.
Excitement really kicked in...thus, "egg-niting" quite the smashing motion.
HA! Pun intended, but not until...AFTER I typed out this brilliant sentence.
Liam and Clint wore matching ties to church...
So CUTE!
Liam was so proud of his little tie!
He kept running up to everyone saying,
"I got a tie...see!"
"Liam, smile big at the camera!"
This is what I get...
I think the trait may be inherited....
"Clint, smile big at the camera!"
"Clint, just stand there, like a normal human being, while I get everything set up..."
...or show me your booty...whatever ...
We had a big dinner and and an egg hunt at our house, with a few of Clint's co-workers.
It was really fun!
In general, Liam was more interested in finding big rocks and sticks than finding eggs.
Boy to the CORE!
He did find a few eggs...
...with a little help from Rafiel and Noah...
...and Dinesh...
With help, he ended up getting quite a loot.
The day wouldn't have been complete without throwing a few rocks in the lake.
L: "Mommy, look! I got a big rock!"
M: "Wow!"
L: "Yeah...I appreciate it."
Still a favorite phrase.
"Liam, look at Mommy and smile..."
Grrr...he's more photogenic when I'm more sneaky...
I guess I need to work on my mad-ninja skills.
Of course, the day held more than eggs hunts, dinners, and rock throwing...
We had a FANTASTIC service at our church celebrating the
resurrection of our KING!
I love that Liam is beginning to pray and and understand who Jesus is.
I think we should all try to look at Jesus through the eyes of a toddler sometimes...
..Meaning to simply let God love us as we are.
We are his precious creation...
"God doesn't take time to make junk!"
On our way home from Mini Mi Music today, Liam requested that I put on the "Mountains Song" which is mine and Liam's favorite worship song.
(Waiting Here for You By: Christy Nockels)
Liam began singing, and I complemented his beautiful singing voice.
His response brought a tear of joy...
"Oh, thank you, Mommy...I worshiping!"
THIS IS PARENTHOOD, and I love it!
*Cheers*
"yeah I appreciate it" ?? Priceless. Plus the pictures are FANTASTIC! Ha!!
