Saint Patrick's Day

I always thought celebrating St. Patrick's Day was kind of silly.
Growing up we never really did much other than wearing green to school.
I STILL think it's a silly holiday, but for some reason silly things become much more fun with kids :)
Yesterday, we had a fun family day, and that is always something worth celebrating!

First it was off to Church...

Some of us were pretty tuckered out by the time we got home...
including M.E.
Naps all around!

Then we went on a scavenger hunt for GOLD!
Last week, the weather was so nice...yesterday it snowed...
So an indoor event was in order.

"Look Mama!  I Found it!"
Just biting it to make sure it's real.

"More Gold!"

"Maybe under the table?"

Liam found seven pieces of gold...and soon discovered that they were CHOCOLATE!
Better than the real deal :)

Green milk...

...leaves a green mustache!

Auntie Shannalee came over to have corned beef and cabbage with us.
I quickly discovered that I prefer my cabbage pickled...
Sauerkraut is SOOOO much better...

Liam saying "GREEEEEEN," instead of cheese.

Auntie Sahannalee brought over some 4 leaf clovers for us to plant...
apparently they are ALL supposed to be 4 leaved...

Liam and I are both skeptical.

"Thank you!  Kiss!"

We also had Green Rice Krispy bars and lucky charms...
It was a pretty fun day...
Silly holiday and all...

*Cheers*
