Kuchen 101

We decided to spend one day making Kuchen (traditional German dessert that my Great Grandma Kirschenmann perfected).  It was so fun!  We made 14 Kuchen, and most of them turned out great!  My freezer is full!

Here we go!

Mixing the dough...

Making the custard.
Rolling the dough.
Filling ingredients:  the traditional apple sauce, apricot, peach, cherry, and a few kinds that we decided to experiment with... banana (pretty good), Pineapple/coconut ( I LOVED...everyone else, not so much), Balckberry (YUMMO) Chocolate Chip (Haven't tried, I'll let you know), Cranberry (MMMM)...

"Mr. Bubbles" was a big helper...no crying :o)

Cuddle Break

Adding the fruit

We didn't quite get a picture of the finished product without sneaking a piece!

Yumm....

Clint thought I looked ill rather than content with yummy goodness!

Ta-Da!

Thanks for the lessons!  Many more to come!

Check out Liam's cute hat from the Goods!

So Cute!

So tired...

We decided to go out to dinner after all the baking!

Grandma Comes for Spring Break

My mom was able to ride the train to Seattle with a friend and stay for a few days over spring break.  We had so much fun while she was here!  Sad to see her go...

How many people does it take to change a dirty diaper?

Papa...this one is for you!

"Should I be wearing this shirt?!"

Family Date Night

A little cuddling at home and then off to Fondi for some YUMMO pizza.  A night well spent!

Liam's newest passion is to suck on his index and middle fingers...ALL THE TIME!

Fondi is Fun!

Yay!

So much fun that Liam conked out before the appetizer even arrived :o)

13 Weeks

Sometimes diaper explosions happen and all you can do is clean up the mess in the front seat of the car...

Hard to believe this sweet, peaceful face can make that HUGE MESS!! :o)
